One Mass this weekend: Sunday at 9:30am for the Feast of S. Michael, our Patron Saint

Dear Friends, 

This Sunday we celebrate the feast of S. Michael and All Angles in a special way.  This year, for the first time, we will be celebrating the feast as our patronal feast!  Who better of the heavenly army to be our defender at Washington Memorial Chapel than S. Michael!?  S. Michael is to the heavenly army what George Washington was to the American army - except S. Michael is undefeated and even the powers of evil had no chance against him and the army of God!  This Sunday we will worship God and thank him for his providence most especially as it is delegated through the myriads and myriads of angels and saints around his throne.  

After Mass, we will have a brunch together in the newly renovated Patriots’ Hall!  

Then at 2pm, since it is also the Feast of S. Francis, we will gather at the front steps of the Chapel for “The Blessing of Animals.”

It will be a joy-filled day at WMC; and we look forward to celebrating with you!  Remember!  There is no Saturday 5pm Mass and no Sunday 8am Mass.  There is one Mass this weekend at 9:30am (instead of the usual 10am) followed by a brunch in Patriots’ Hall)
