The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) commissioned the National Patriots Bell Tower and Carillon for Washington Memorial Chapel.


Bell Tower Sections (from Bottom to Top)

  1. Tower Lobby — Ground floor and lowest portion of the tower entered through the archway

  2. Tower Clerestory — Second level, located above the lobby

  3. Tower Stairs — Stairway section on the left side of the tower in the picture above

  4. Tower Office — Located above the clerestory on the right side of the tower and below the carillon

Stained Glass Design

Inside the windows in the Tower Lobby and Tower Clerestory are “medallions” depicting scenes or stories.

The tracery is the intricate stonework window atop a stained glass window.
